A household appliance
The cloud, brought home.
Nexus is a small appliance that runs your own cloud at home. Your family’s photos, documents, notes, and even your own AI assistant — all stored locally, on your shelf.
No subscription · No account with us · Works without internet
Good evening, Alvarez household.
- Maya’s phone backed up — 214 new photos
- Paperless filed three documents under Taxes 2026
- Leo joined the household — that makes five
Apps
What’s inside.
Your own internet apps, running on your own hardware. The list is growing, and we’re aiming to cover every service a household needs.
Privacy
What leaves the house.
Your photos, documents, and notes never leave. Nexus uses the internet for its own upkeep and for what you connect on purpose — never to send your things somewhere you didn’t choose:
Renewing its address
Once in a while it proves it owns your web address, so browsers keep trusting it. What’s sent: the address. Nothing else.
Checking for updates
“Is there a new version?” A download happens only when you approve it.
Whatever the household turns on
Link an outside AI or calendar, let the assistant search the web, or give an app internet access — those requests go out. Turn it off, and they stop immediately.
Everything else stays home.
Questions
Straight answers.
Does it need a subscription?
No. You buy the appliance once — no subscription, no account with us, no per-member fee. Sign-in, apps, and data all stay on the appliance, so it doesn’t need us day to day. Even if Teknios disappeared tomorrow, the house would keep running.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Everything an admin does happens in one dashboard: invite a member, install an app, approve an update. If you know what a NAS or Kubernetes is, you’ll never see either. If you don’t, you’ll never need to.
Do we all share one account?
No. Every member of the household gets their own sign-in, and it works across every app. Each person’s photos, documents, and notes stay their own — shared only when they choose to share them.
What does it cost?
You pay once, for the appliance. We’ll announce the price when the first batch is ready — and tell the waitlist first.
The first batch
Be first in line.
We’re building the first batch of appliances now. Join and you’ll hear first — when it’s ready, what it costs, and nothing else.
We use your address for this and nothing else — here’s exactly how we handle it. Or write to nexus@teknios.tech.
